At St George’s we desire to grow safe, happy, and vibrant, youth and children’s ministries. 

Current activities for children and youth include ‘Kidz Zone’, (our church Sunday School), along with opportunities to be involved in church plays and other activities.

As our children and youth numbers increase we will provide children’s club and youth club activities, fun and games.

For your children’s safety and entertainment we have a dedicated fully fenced children’s playground area, with play equipment for your children to play with, while parents and guardians can enjoy morning tea and social conversation in our hall after our services.

This play area, safe from vehicles and strangers, will be covered by CCTV so the entire playground area will be able to be seen of a monitor inside our hall.

Also, for the safety of our youth and children, all parish councillors and all other church volunteers hold a current Queensland ‘Blue Card’ (‘Working With Children Card’). As well as that, St George’s, in keeping with our commitment to child safety,  has four specifically appointed adult child safety “Safeguarders”. 

Our four ‘Safeguarders’ are Stacey McDonnell, Jenny Hobby, Anne Latimer and Joanne Farrar.

Our senior ‘Executive Team’ members also have current national police check certification carried out by the  Australian Federal Police.
