St George’s Anglican Church Beenleigh
Our church is located at 2-8 Tansey Street Beenleigh on the corner of Tansey, Kent, and Bellew Streets, Beenleigh – opposite Coles.
Our service time is Sunday 8am Holy Communion, with Kidz Church (Sunday School) also commencing at 8am.
St George's Anglican Church is a Bible-believing church that has been serving the Beenleigh area for 150 years as the official parish of the Anglican Church of Australia.
St George’s Music Ministry
We have a small team of singers and keyboard musicians who meet Thursday mornings at 9.00am to rehearse the songs and hymns for the following Sunday service.
On the 1st, 3rd and 4th Friday morning of each month we visit local Nursing Homes, giving the residents the opportunity to sing and remember their favourite hymns. It is a fact that music has a beneficial, therapeutic effect on the elderly (and indeed on all, young and old alike).
On festive occasions, for example Christmas and Easter, etc, we like to augment the number of singers and musicians we have for special musical presentations.
We would be delighted to welcome new members who love singing, or who play an instrument, and have the time to give of their talents, thanking and praising God for His gift.
The music used in our Sunday Holy Communion services is a mixture of modern worship music using professionally-developed lyric video clips, as well hymns. Our music is enhanced by our Yamaha TF3 24-channel digital mixer, professional cordless Shotgun choir microphone, amplified speaker system, and a Yamaha Clavinova, all controlled from our Apple iMac computer using the TF Editor program. The result is a very coordinated and ‘clean’ sound.
